Announcing Dundalk RFC Open Day 8th September 2012 Starting at 10:30am!!

Dear Members,

I am delighted to confirm that Dundalk RFC will be holding an Open Day this Saturday 8th September starting at 10:30am.  The purpose of the day will be to encourage people in the area who have an interest in Rugby to come and experience all aspects of the club and encourage them to get involved.  The day will be a chance to showcase all areas of the club to the wider community across all areas of the club, Senior, Youth’s, Mini’s, and Social and we are calling on all members to participate and encourage non-members who may have an interest in learning more about their local club to come along and get involved.  The itinerary for the day will be as follows:

 

10:30 -11:30        Mini’s (u7-u12) and girls tag training including minis exhibition matches

11:30 – 12:30       Registration in the clubhouse for people who want to sign up and some refreshments (orange squash and hot dogs) for kids.

12:30 – 2:30         Youths (u13-u19) training and exhibition matches

2:30 – 4:00            Clubhouse will be open while we build up for the Jenkinson Cup match where our 2XV will face Ashbourne 2XV, which kicks off at 4pm

4:00 – 5:30            Jenkinson Cup match Dundalk Seconds v Ashbourne Seconds

5:30 – 7:00            McGowan Cup Final Second Leg Dundalk Firsts v Ashbourne Firsts – Chance for DRFC to win our first silverware of the year!

7:00 – 8:00            Refreshments in Clubhouse where the coach and players will be available to meet and chat

8:00 – Late           Open Invitation to “Full Pig on a Spit” Barbecue and social night to finish off the open day in style. All welcome €10 per person, including barbecue food and some wine.

 

It promises to be a fun day (and night!) for people who want to know more and maybe get involved with the club.
