End of Season Band Night, Saturday April 27th, Doors Open 10pm

Dear Members and Friends,

A fantastic rugby season is sadly drawing to a close, but we are determined to see it out in style with our End of Season Band Night on Saturday week, April 27th. We would call on all Parents, Friends and Coaches to come and make what has become a traditional end of season outing a fitting end to a great season. Once again the fantastic Conor Hughes and The Willing Fools will be playing, which always brings the house down, followed by a DJ until the early hours. Tickets available from Sabrina, Tommy, or any of the committee members, cost €10.

We look forward to seeing you on the night, details on the attached flyer.

Best Regards,

St Patrick’s Day Parade 2013

Dear Members and Friends,

The St Patrick’s Day parade is only a few days away and arrangements are as follows:

  • ·         Meeting at 11.45 in De La Salle boys Primary school, Phillips St
  • ·         Finishing in Credit Union on the ramparts opposite Fyffe’s

Children MUST be wearing club colours, the parade is going ahead hail, rain or snow, so be sure to have the kids well wrapped up.

All coaches/adults who are participating must also wear club colours.

HAKKA

For those kids involved in the Hakka our last practice session has been changed to Friday @ 6pm and arrangements for the parade are same as above.

We can’t stress enough how important that club colours be worn for the Hakka. If kids are wearing tracksuit bottoms they must be black and club shorts and socks be worn over them. Anyone not wearing club colours will not partake in the Hakka.

We would ask parents where possible to paint some traditional Maori designs on the children’s faces, images will be available at training on Friday.

Thanks to all the parents/coaches/senior players for your  participation and patience over the past few weeks in preparation for the parade, hopefully the club will get some good PR  and most importantly the kids enjoy themselves.

Kind regards,

Fergus O’Callaghan

Don’t Miss “The Club on the Hill” Finale – Part 4 airs this Weekend!!

Dear Members and Friends,

The final part of the excellent 4-part documentary on our club, “The Club on the Hill”, airs this weekend on Dundalk FM100. The first airing will be at 1pm on Saturday 16th with a repeat later that evening at 6pm. Part 4 promises to be the best yet, as it features the club in the present day, the First team, coaches, youths, mini’s etc as well as a contribution from the NorthEast’s most famous exports, Rob and Dave Kearney. It is one not to be missed!

On behalf of the club I would like to thank Dundalk FM’s Geraldine Kieran for the wonderful work she has done in bringing this fantastic documentary together. Enjoy the final part of the documentary this weekend and we are working on hopefully having a podcast available for those of you who missed the series in due course.
