Dundalk Sharks welcomed a 3 team strong , well drilled Boyne RFC to Mill Rd on Sunday for a double bill North east fixture and Metro league combined. Dundalk were delighted to field 3 teams for the first time at this age group as a result of super numbers turning out for training on Thursday nights. Boyne are one of the dominant forces at this age group and while Dundalk got of to a slow start they did manage to get themselves into the rhythm of things and soon began to put some wonderful passing phases together.

The U11’s have embarked to play a brand of rugby this season based on running, popping the ball in contact and keeping the play alive. This style was evident in the play from the sharks with all the space being used to stretch the Boyne defense. Three equal sides were captained by Daniel Chong , charlie Murdock and PJ Tiernan. All 3 were strongly competitive in their defense,
scoring tries , turning over ball and most encouraging of all, enjoying themselves  All coaches were at a lost to pick any man of the match as all players of various talents really put their hearts and souls into it. Well done lads , great season to look forward to, playing great rugby , making new friends and enjoying it all .
