Dundalk Senior girls travelled to Ardee with Coach Chris Scully  for a very tough encounter in the Leinster Tag League in dreadful conditions.  Rain and low temperatures made for a difficult start for the team ably captained by Zoe Valentine.  Dundalk started off well running in several scores quickly, however Ardee proved tough competition and equalled time and time again.  Dundalk suffered in support play and many good chances were lost by poor support – although the weather also proved hard to battle against.  In all the girls were outdone by a very fit Ardee, the final result 16-11 to Ardee.  Scores were run in by Captain, Zoe Valentine, Meadhh O’Callaghan, Katie McGee, Sadhbh McDonnell, Shona Kelly, Jessica Malone and the fast paced Niamh Belton.  A special mention to the sister act that is Jessica and Deborah Malone, who put in a huge defensive game. The score sheet might well have looked different if it weren’t for their efforts!  All in all a big team effort, but on the day Ardee proved too strong for Dundalk.
