Result U10’s 12 – 7

Dundalk under 12’s and 10’s travelled to Ratoath with coaches Linda Valentine, Suzanne Flynn and Maria Cartwright on a wet, rainy and cold day. The rain battered down on our brave young players as the slid around the mud slide in Ratoath! The under 10’s were well in control of their game from the first whistle with confident play by all and tries run in by Lily McEntegart, Natascha Swan and Tara Herr. It was a big team effort by all, the Under 10’s and they showed great spirit and enthusiasm for the game throughout.  A team to be proud off with great potential.  Dundalk 10’s Aoife Purcell, Bronagh Hughes, Sophie Woulfe, Ruth McGee, Molly McLoughlin, Hazel Malone, Lily McEntegart, Tara Herr, Isabel Holmes, Aoife Bermingham and Seona Halligan.

Under 12’s had a sheer battle on their hands as they met their match in the form of Ratoath.  A very tight game from start to finish with huge defensive play by both sides.  It was a tense game with Dundalk determinded to keep their unbroken record of wins in the Leinster league. Ratoath were equally determined to end this record and a number of very skllful players on both sides made for a hugey entertaining encounter.  Dundalk always seemed to have the edge on Ratoath with scores run in by Temi Fagbamilla and Caoimhe O’Callaghan.  However in the final minutes of the game Ratoath equalled and the final result was a fair reflection of the quality of play by both sides.  Dundalk girls:- Aoise Finegan, Chloe Ticehurst, Temi Fagbamilla, Caoimhe O’Callaghan, Molly Hughes, Neasa Boyle, Grace Cranny, Holly McEntegart and Clodagh Flynn.
